Allied Member ASID
Carol Ellis' success comes from her professional approach of creating innovative, cost-effective design solutions for her clients in a very personal, very nurturing and responsible way. Her use of color, textures, scale and visual complexity allows her to create genuinely unique environments for her clients and the places they live and work in.
Her expertise includes residential and commercial projects, interior and exterior finish specifications, electrical and lighting plan review and specification, kitchen and bath design, color analysis and paint specification, remodel and renovation design, interior space planning, custom furniture design, furniture, art and accessory specification, window treatment design, purchasing and installation.
She has designed the interiors to a wide variety of luxury and vacation homes and cabins, as well as many commercial, office and specification driven spaces throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Her success comes through helping the client to better understand the physical form of their vision, desires, and needs and to make those dreams come to reality.
The key to this success is defining the needs of the clients, involving the client into a partnership of exploration and always maintaining good avenues of communication throughout the entire process. This involvement and level of healthy participation helps to further a better understanding and long-lasting relationship with the people she serves.
Michael Ellis, Designer
Michael Ellis actually began his career in 1972 when he designed his first home for a client. At that time the seed had been planted and he knew designing buildings and spaces for people is what he wanted to do in life. The project produced the foundation on which a small but highly innovative design firm would develop and evolve into Ellis Design Group, LLC.
Since that time, Michael has earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon, in Eugene, Oregon and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Drafting from Portland Community College, Portland, Oregon. He has also taught design and architectural history and vernacular courses within many of the public schools around the southern Willamette Valley area through the Architects in Schools program of the Lane Arts Council.
Michael's philosophy directly reflects the team's commitment and approach that strives for honesty, cooperation, and good communications between all involved -- the client, designer, and contractor. This also produces an environment that inherently fosters trust, greater cost accountability, and a project on time and within budget.
